Data release for the NOvA muon neutrino CC inclusive cross-section measurement presented in Phys.Rev.D 107 (2023) 5, 052011:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevD.107.052011
The signal definition for this analysis is true muon neutrino CC interactions with a vertex in the fiducial volume of the NOvA near detector, i.e. the central 2.7m x 2.7m x 9.0m region.
The double-differential cross section as a function of the muon kinematics is evaluated
in the restricted phase-space defined by:
0.50 < cos theta < 0.56, 0.5 GeV < p < 0.9 GeV
0.56 < cos theta < 0.62, 0.5 GeV < p < 0.9 GeV
0.62 < cos theta < 0.68, 0.5 GeV < p < 1.0 GeV
0.68 < cos theta < 0.74, 0.5 GeV < p < 1.1 GeV
0.74 < cos theta < 0.80, 0.5 GeV < p < 1.3 GeV
0.80 < cos theta < 0.85, 0.5 GeV < p < 1.4 GeV
0.85 < cos theta < 0.88, 0.5 GeV < p < 1.6 GeV
0.88 < cos theta < 0.91, 0.5 GeV < p < 1.9 GeV
0.91 < cos theta < 0.94, 0.5 GeV < p < 2.2 GeV
0.94 < cos theta < 0.96, 0.5 GeV < p < 2.5 GeV
0.96 < cos theta < 0.98, 0.5 GeV < p < 2.5 GeV
0.98 < cos theta < 0.99, 0.5 GeV < p < 2.5 GeV
0.99 < cos theta < 1.00, 0.5 GeV < p < 2.5 GeV
The single differential cross section as a function of the square of the momentum transfer (Q2) and the neutrino energy (Enu) are calculated only in the restricted phase space defined above.
The root file contains the following folders:
- results: which contains the single (Q2 and ENu) and double differential cross sections (MuKin);
- covariance: which contains the total systematics, shape-only systematics, and statistical covariance matrices.
The histogram covTo2DBin contains the conversion from the covariance matrix binning to the 2D binning for the muon kinematics measurements.
